This is a popular bar and "be seen" place for locals, located in Fig Garden Village. There is an outdoor patio. Monthly wine dinners are held.
The bar is open 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Monday through Saturday. Sunday hours are 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. Some food and appetizers are served during these hours, however the full menu is only available in the hours listed on the left.
Sandwiches and burgers average about $9, while the signature dishes (steak and seafood) range from $12 to $27.

Fun, loud place but food has faltered recently. All veggies taste the same, over-sauced with pre-fab garlic and oil. |

Service was relatively prompt, and the place is quite fascinating with all the old photos gracing the walls.
The food was very good, but I was less than thrilled to pay in excess of $60 for a simple dinner for two. |

The Elbow Room is Fresno at its most traditional. Do you want to know what the heart of Fresno beats like? This is your restaurant. The food here is American bar and grill. Meat. Find it on the menu, order it and revel in it. Don't even bother with anything fishy, salady or otherwise not fit for a carnivore. Remember, this is the heart of Fresno, not L.A. Thinking of ordering non-alcoholic? Hit the bricks. Even before your meat, you simply have to order something from the bar. This is Fresno's own, so slide into the booth, order something hard, then something red and well-done, and take in the show. Highly recommended to anyone trying to learn to fit in to valley life. |
