This is a Tower District mainstay. Never anything to write home about on the menu, very predictable, but a great place to hide if you're having an affair or want to make out in public. The food at Livingstone's is best described as "American." While there are dishes from other regions in the world (read: Italian food), it is prepared as an American version regardless of its origin. The steaks are fine, the soups and salads okay, the bar is extensive. However, there is never anything beyond the expected here. The restaurant is one of the darkest in Fresno which makes it a fun place to bring a date for an intimate, er, conversation, but not a place to impress a restaurant reviewer...with the food, anyway.
