Specializing in steak. Large and open with a rustic lodge decor. Because of its high ceilings and open space, it can get very noisy at times. The Shaw location has separated dining areas; go there if you want a little more quiet. The menus are the same except that the Cedar location also offers pizzas cooked in brick ovens.
Reservations are not accepted, but it's possible to call ahead and have your name placed on the waiting list. This is recommended on weekends. On holidays, they're usually open around noon.
The Cedar location only offers delivery of special family meals to a limited area with a $25 minimum order.

You can now call ahead of time and put your name it, it eliminates the long wait. We ate here last night and were immediatley seated, same is true on the weekend.
We all enjoyed the dinner for two at $16.99/pp that includes an appetizer, salad, your entree (we had the steak, it was good) and a big slice of cheesecake that is pretty decent. |

This would be a great steakhouse if you didn't come within inches of dropping dead from starvation before being seated. The food is really great. Wonderful meat, and plenty of it. It is simply prepared, as a steak should be. Face it, if the meat is good, there isn't much need for complex preparation. However, the service here, due to tediously long waits, is absurd. Think about the longest wait for anything that comes to mind and double it. One thing is for certain, this food line is not deceptive: the food is great, but, unfortunately, not worth the unacceptable wait. The best approach is eating at the bar during the week during a less-than-peak hour (say, 8:00 p.m. with on a "nothing on ESPN" night). |
