Yum-yum. Best food around; and you just have to love the service - sometimes good; sometimes not. |

Had a great dinne, lovely atmosphere.
BUT the should use Romaine instead
of Iceberg lettuce for their salads.
Everything else was perfect. |

Prepared with a very light batter over large tender pancake size servings, sprinkled with almonds. Tastes like abalone. |

The food here is excellent all-around, but their steaks are something else. I've eaten just a few steaks in my time, and the filet mignon at The 'Spur is the best I know of anywhere. They serve one that is just bacon-wrapped, or you can get one stuffed with cheese & herbs and covered with a delicious wine sauce (highly recommended). Their seafood is nothing to sneeze at either. The service is usually very good, although they do have 1 or 2 not-so-good waitresses. Even if you get one of the not-so-good ones, in the end you won't care because the food is so superb. All in all an outstanding restaurant |

My first visit after 6 years of working in Glendora was a mixed experience. The Spur Top Sirloin was a huge flavorable steak, cooked exactly as ordered. The service was excellent...attentative & friendly but unobtrusive. The senior-aged hostess never cracked a smile and was unwelcoming. They really need to put up a sign requesting cell phones be turned to vibrate or OFF. Two different tables close to me kept receiving phone calls, and were speaking in loud voices that could be heard across the room. |
