My wife and I were told the wait would be 15-20 minutes, but 45 minutes later I went to the desk to see what was happening. Looking at the seating list I counted nine parties that came in after us which had been seated while we were waiing. All were larger than two persons except one marked VIP. When I talked to the manager he said we were next and walked away. Reading many of the other postings I see this is a common situation. I guess as long as they have people waiting they will not worry about how they treat them. The goal is obviously to keep tables full (no parties of two at a table for four) to maximize profits.
Our waiter worked hard and the food was ok. If they were the only factor we would probably go back. |

My Wife and I took our daughter and her family to Sam's at 5:30 and were told it would be ten to fifteen minutes. I did not think that was bad but as we waited more and more people arrived and were being seated right away. So, at 5:55 I went in to ask what was going on and the Hostess told me our table was almost ready. At 6:10, after more and more people came and were seated I went in and asked for the Manager and I was told that she was busy but if I waited she should come by soon. Finally, I saw the Hostess talking to a lady with a disgusted look on her face; then the lady came over and told me she was the Manager. I told her what was going on and she said, "we don't know how long the people at the table we were suppose to get were going to be". I looked at her and asked "why didn't you tell me that 45 minutes ago", and she just looked at me. She said we only have a few tables for groups of 6 people. Can you believe that they wouldn't put 2 tables together? We used to go every Sunday but NO MORE!!!!!! I think Corp Heads need to rethink and hire Managers who care about the customers. |

Went to Sam's for a special occasion.
6:20 arrival ... 9:20 departure.
This is a TUESDAY!
The food is not so exceptional that I would wait 1.5 hours (which was the wait).
Service was excellent, once seated. |
