My two teenage daughters and I try to go out about once a week for a nice dinner. We happened upon the Lone Star Steak House and have made it a regular place for us, when we crave steak.
I usually get the sirloin (medium rare), and it has rarely been cooked incorrectly. One time there was a lot of sinew in it and I brought it to the manager's attention. He comped my dinner and that satisfied me. I have also tried the pork chops (very moist) and the salmon, also very good. But the sirloin remains my favorite.
One of my daughters usually gets the rib eye (not the Cajun version) and it is full of flavor. She has had occasion where there was too much fat (over 1/3) and we complained. Again, they comped us and that satisfied us.
Besides the delicious steaks, their prices are very low, especially for this area (Arlington Heights). We have tried other places around, and the portions were smaller and they were more expensive.
It is worth a look and a taste. It may end up being your favorite steak house. |

I had the Cajun Ribeye and requested that it be served to me medium rare and it came extremely well done. I initially did not say anything, but after I thought about it, and being that I was spending my money for it I should have spokne up. I would recommend the Cajun Ribeye but only if it is cooked as requested. |
