Dinner for six on New Year's Eve was quite disappointing. The prime rib was dry and stringy, more like a rump roast. The service was OK, although it was necessary to speak to the manager. We waited 25 minutes to receive our drink order, which the server had forgotten. The entree was served before we had time to finish our salad. The restaurant was not at capacity, and there were ample servers. We will not return to this restaurant. |

I had dinner at Chicago on September 6 and was extremely disappointed with the results. Because of the Notre Dame football game, Chicago had a limited menu, which is somewhat understandable. What was not understandable was serving a gristle-laden piece of beef and trying to pass it off as Filet Mignon. You don't have to be a brain surgeon to know when you have a cut of filet. What Chicago served bordered on fraud. I have been going to Chicago for many years and will now cease that practice. My complaint to the waiter was met with a feigned apology and back to the business of selling inferior meats under a banner of filet. For our party of seven, we received inferior meats and a bill for $188. |
