Suggins is everything that Lexington is not -- comfortable, friendly, and NOT A CHAIN. Idiotic places like Malone's (wildly overpriced and mediocre at best) and chains such as ANYTHING on Nicholasville Road or at Hamburg, pale by comparison. |

I would guess the patron who was negative about Suggin's prefers waiting for a table for 2 hours at an overpriced chain, something of a lexington tradition.
Suggins is a dying breed -- a relaxing, comfortable place with good, affordable food. the menu is a bit limited, but the catfish is the best for the money in town.
just don't sit next to stuffy "Auntie Lexington"! |

this is definitely NOT worth five stars. Try one, if you're feeling generous. It's a bar, it has bar food, i.e., greasy, fatty, nasty. |
