I love dining at Grill 23. I read the Anonymous reviews, and can only imagine they went to the wrong restaurant. I don't know anybody there and I sit down on time consistently...I had an overcooked NY Sirloin, once. The manager apologized and bought my entree. I recommend you give it another shot; maybe your friend is right. |

We went on a recomendation from a friend who dines there frequently because he barters services with many staff members and "never has to have a reservation or wait for a table" (not to mention free drinks). It was very obvious with this young, unprofessional management that it is necessary to know someone to be seated at all! While we were waiting an hour past our reservation time, watching other couples around our age (30's) come in and be seated immediately at choice tables, we observed another older couple stomp out after waiting over an hour and a half past their reservation.
Once the entire restaurant had cleared out and we were seated right in the middle of the downstairs dining room between multiple groups, the ever so regretful manager said he'd like to do something for us. Great, we were comped a dessert that neither of us intended to have in the first place. Adding insult to injury, while we were still eating one of the waiters came over and put our keys on the table and said the valets were leaving...hint hint. |

Went to celebrate my birthday, and went home nearly in tears! The steak, which I heard great reviews about, was overcooked, after specifying medium rare.
The wine offered tasted like it had been uncorked days before, and the nightly salmon special which my husband had was overseasoned, very salty.
After paying such a hefty price, I felt robbed. Stick to Capital Grille or the Palm, if you care about steak. |
