I went to this place expecting the best steak and sides in the twin cities. I read this site and heard from a few people how great this place was. In reality it was the worst steak I've ever had, it tasted like over-salted roast. And the potatoes had so much sage in them I couldn't even taste the actual potatoes. The service was fine, but with only 3 things on the menu (steak, steak or steak) how hard can it be? Not to mention the to-go boxes aka "people bags" were disgustingly rude. Who pays $30 for a steak and then when you want the rest to go has it picked up like a pile of dog poop in a bag which is then tied at the top? I have never been so disgusted in my life. And the actual restaurant is literally a giant trailer house with cabin like interior...The taste is still haunting me, but at least the dog liked it. |

I took my wife, hoping to have a nice Valentine's dinner.
We arrived, they sat us on about a 2 foot wide table. We decided to tell the hostess that we'd go to the bar, have a pre-dinner cocktail, and wait for a better table.
My wife had a glass of Merlot ($5.00 a glass) and I had a Manhattan, about the size of a shot glass ($4.50) which I believe evaporated before I took a sip. Too much ice for such a small glass.
After about a 40 minute wait, we did get seated in a nice area/table.
After ordering the top-of-the-line steak, the salad and toasted bread were quite delicious, the steak came hot, though chewey and unseasoned.
The service was good (Thank you, Mary). I doubt if we will return. |

Very GREAT steak! I've split a steak with my wife before. You need to pay extra for the extras that come with the meal like salad, bread (awesome bread), and their great buttery potatoes. Occasionally I have gotten a grissly cut. I asked the server and they made me a new one. |

Doesn't make any sense not to be able to split an order. Most women, men for that matter, cannot eat a 16 ounce steak. Not a place to bring wife or girlfriend. |

If you want a great steak, go to Lindey's. If you, or anyone in your party DON'T eat beef, don't go.
The menu is painted on a board. Choice of three (excellent) steaks. Takes a while to cook, but it's great. |
