We had the worst food ever at the Timberlodge steak house. My husband's prime rib was dry and tough. My steak was a ribeye and well done and the outside was crusty and very dry. We also had coupon that said $5 off one food entree and we had two coupons and they said it was a misprint and the computer wouldn't change it. It was a 40th anniversary supper with my family we both had our 40th. We weren't happy. |

My husband & I were traveling on Highway 35 and saw there was a Timberlake and they now offer a lunch menu so we stopped, looking forward to a great meal. My k-bob appeared to be more microwaved than grilled and the meat was grissly (sp?) When I pointed that out to the waiter, he took my plate and said he'd get another. After quite a long time, he brought me the substitute steak I had requested on a small plate. The baked potato and veggies that were side items, were missing. So, I'm looking at this tiny plate (like you'd serve bread on) w/nothing else after a long wait. When I asked about my potato, he brought another, again after a long wait. By that time, my husband had long been finished eating and my appetite was gone. No apology, no adjustment on the bill. As we drove him, we realized how rude they were and called the corporate office to complain. Today I received a gift certificate for one meal - unfortunately, it will be a very long time (if ever) before I go to another Timberlodge Steak House. |

My family and I had the worst dining experience at the TimberLodge Steak House at Owatonna, MN on Sun. May 12, 2002 at around 6:00. The room we were in was cold and when they did turn up the heat you could hardly breathe! Our food arrived cool. The steak ordered med. was well done and tough (my husband never complains and just kept putting steak sauce on it but did finally give up). My son's 23oz. prime rib had uncooked membrane on the outside and when he asked to have it put back on the grill it appeared to just have been microwaved since it was grey. It smelled like boiled meat and tasted terrible. My daughter's kabobs were definetly not med. rare. We have been to other Timber Lodges and the food was good and didn't mind paying the price. The assistant manager on duty was extremely rude and took some off of our bill (certainly not enough). No apologies were ever made and my son left hungry. I know my husband will never go to another TimberLodge restaurant again. I hope something can be done so other people do not experience what we did. |
