One of the oldest restaurants in the region, the Angus Barn has been a local favorite for decades. It specializes in Black Angus beef, and features homemade desserts. The Wild Turkey bar offers a relaxing atmosphere. For a special occasion request seating in the Wine Cellar where you can be surrounded by the thousands of bottles on the 50-page wine list. When driving to the restaurant, you can easily spot it by the trademark big red barn.

My sister and I took our mother there last year for her birthday. It was her first time dining in such elegance and needless to say she was blown away (as was I). It started with the valet parking and when the food was served, it just added to her happiness. Finally, they brought out a birthday cake for her and the tears were there for all to see how happy she was. Of course she wants to go there every year and we are looking forward to celebrating her birthday there this year. Many, many, many thanks for a truly beautiful evening. |

Was very dissapointed. If this is suppose to be one of the finer places to eat in Raleigh I hate to see the worst! My wife & I went there for our anniversary & ordered NY strip steaks, both were extremly under cooked. For a restaurant who prides themselves on their steaks, ours should have been cooked perfectly the first time. Also they stuck us upstairs in some dark corner where I couldn't even see my food if I wanted to! I would not recommend this place to anyone! |

One of the times I dined there we had to wait 15 minutes - the owner came out to apologize and gave us numerous complementary dishes and items to take home. |

I can't began to explain how wonderful my last experience with Angus Barn. I was just starting to see this young man, that I wasn't necessarily trying to impress, but I really wanted to show him a good time. We went there and the service was impeccable. The food was good and the atmosphere was unbelievable. The gentleman that I dined with told me that this date was the best one he ever had. I bought a cake for him and took it Angus Barn even before they were open. One of the cooks was kind enough to take my cake and my name and ensured me that it would be sent to my table after dinner accordingly. I did not have to remind them and everything went so smoothly. I tell this story to everyone and I have many friends that have gone in search of this same experience. I had a beautiful evening. |

If you enjoy beef, this is the place to go. If not, look for a large seafood menu. |
