This place can be a little pricey. We eat there every year, but found that last year it had changed hands. Service was not very good, and the food was disappointing. I look forward to eating there all year, but probably will not go back this year. |

We were in Brett's on September 20. We were a party of 4. (2 couples) We both ordered the seafood for 2 with appetizers. This was an approximately $65 menu item. After the appetizers had been completed and plates picked up we were basicly forgotten about until we finally brought it to the attention of one of the servers that we were still waiting on salads. Our waitress (or the person we thought was our waitress) apparently just forgot about us. By that time it had been much too long since our appetizers had been picked up. When the waitress brought out the salads she asked if we would like to have the meal served also since it was ready. We opted not to which was probably a mistake. By the time the main course was served it was warm at best. It had obviously been under cover and ready for quite a while. To further compound the problem we were seated at a table that was really not quite big enough for 4 adults. I do think the food would have been very good had it been properly served in a timely manner. When the server was preparing our check she asked us if we would like 2 checks. This was a mistake because it resulted in a 15% gratuity. It does state on the menu if separate checks are requested the gratuity is 15%, however we did not initiate this request and a tip of 10% would have been generous considering how poor the service was. If you ever try Brett's make sure your server doesn't abandon you as was done to us which caused what was probably a pretty good meal if it had been served hot to only be marginal. |

Unique Southwestern dishes and great homemade bread. The service definetly needs some attention. |
