Liquid smoke? Don't believe it. The barbecue here is all cooked pit-style, using 100% hardwood hickory. In 2004, the restaurant has won numerous awards in barbecue competitions, including Grand Champion State of Virginia and best ribs at the State of Ohio barbecue championship in Nelsonville. The other reviewer simply doesn't know barbecue. This location also brews it's beers, award winners in their own right, on premise. |

With every dish I have tried at Barley's Smokehouse, everything is heavy on the liquid smoke. Service was forgetful, unattentive, and cordial at best. |
