This is one of the best restaurants any where and I am lucky enough to live only a few miles away. The Filet of beef is out of this world, as are the crab cakes and the Walleye. The Creme Bruile is outsanding. Service is great also. |

I just returned from another awesome dinner at Oscar's. The to-die-for favorite Walleye is the BEST. I was so full tonight that I could not treat myself to the crab cakes and the tomato aioli sauce, or their creme brulee.
This visit I substituted the wonderful parsnip potatoes for their really nice garlic mashed potatoes. I have been to Oscar's 5 times in the past 2 weeks, 3 times for dinner and twice for lunch. Lunch is always the crab cakes.
We took friends there one week ago, and I thought I had them talked into the Walleye, but they dined on the Veal and Shiitake Mushrooms w/garlic mashed potatoes. They loved it.
Thanks Elaine for going with me tonight. I am sorry that I ate all the bread in both baskets... :) |

I LOVE Oscar's Crab cakes!! I want the recipe for there sauce that is served with it. I have made crab cakes before but I have never enjoyed them as much as I did with that sauce. I have asked the waiters and the manager but I only know it has mayo, garlic, green onions and tomatoes and maybe more. It comes with rice and really nice steamed vegetables. My girlfriend and I are hooked. We even had Oscar's cater a teacher dinner last year at our elementary school and they loved the crab cakes. I desperately want that sauce recipe ... |
