Logan's Roadhouse
The place where you start out with a metal bucket of peanuts and you throw the empty shells on the floor. Offers a wide selection of grilled entrees, sandwiches, seafood, prime rib, baby back ribs, cheeseburgers, salads and many other choices. The kid's menu includes steak tips, tenders, hamburger, hot dog and mac & cheese. Expect a waiting line during the busier times. Alcoholic specialties include six kinds of Roadhouse Tea, Strawberry Daiquiri, Pina Colada, Margarita and Bloody Mary among wide choices in beer and wine. The decor is western with an abundance of wood including the ceiled and ceiling beams. Some walls have western themed decorations or beer advertisements. Average lighting throughout the restaurant, a little brighter during daytime than night. A stone fireplace sits in the middle of the main dining area and a full bar sits off to the left as you enter the building. There are some televisions throughout the restaurant, usually tuned into some sports channel. There are also ceiling fans throughout the restaurant. Some of the booths have a raised floor a step above the aisles. Although it is a large restaurant, you can expect some waiting time during the weekends. They have the flashing square pagers when there is a waiting list.

We ordered a BBQ Cheeseburger which was loaded with fried onions, mushrooms, pickles, bacon and the usual condiments along with an Open Face Roast Beef sandwich. The waitress brought out three soft sweet rolls before the meal, which we wasted no time eating. She brought out three more of the rolls, which was great for after the meal. She was also there for refills and checking on our needs, as well as a manager checking on our service. It was a Friday afternoon, so they were not real busy. The main course arrived around 15-20 minutes after ordering. The cheeseburger was not the biggest we've seen, however it was very tasty. With the all the toppings on top of the cheeseburger, it was difficult to hold. The cheeseburger was served with fries, which were good. The open face roast beef on Texas toast was served with mashed potatoes (mashed with the potatoe skins). The gravy and roast beef were spicy, way too much pepper for my taste. Both of the meals were more than we could eat, especially considering the excellent sweet rolls served with the meal. We passed on the dessert, having stuffed ourselves on the main entree and after dinner sweet rolls. They played country music during our visit, however it was turned down low enough that you could talk easily. |

The kids love this place, with the peanuts shells all over the floor and some great choices for them. Excellent place for steaks or sandwiches. |
