I've been here several times with groups of friends and each time has been wonderful! Just to taste the competition, we tried Musashi's, a new similar hibachi restaurant in OKC, but it was no contest! At Shogun, the chefs are more experienced, you get a lot more food, it's a little less expensive, and the atmosphere is much more authentic and enjoyable. Be ready to spend at least $15-$20 per person, but for the amount of food and fun entertainment, it's well worth it! |

Shogun is a hibachi style restaurant. You are seated at a large communal table with a big hibachi grill in the middle. You are first served a small salad with a tasty ginger dressing and a cup of soup that seems like a cross between miso and egg drop. After you finish your appetizer the chef comes out and puts on quite a show the highlight of which is he squirts something on the grill to make the flames shoot clear up to the ceiling. He prepares all the fried rice for the table in one big batch, juggling knives occasionally and doing some fanciful chopping with his grill paddle. After you finish your food (which you probably won't finish because they give you TONS of it) you are offered sherbet for dessert if you have any room left.
All in all, this is a fun place to go with kids or a playful outing with friends. But if you have a hankering for some really good grub, I'd suggest bypassing this place. |

Shogun is one of the best hibachi restaurants around. It far surpasses Benihana. Some of the chefs have been around for years and the atmosphere is wonderful. Truly a must not miss when in Oklahoma City. |
