I love absolutely everything about this place. From the quaint lounge and friendly knowledgable staff to the exciting "in your face" exhibition cooking. My group had a few first timers but the waitress didnt mind going over almost every item listed on the menu for them. Our chef couldnt quite nail one of his tricks, but with the other chefs nearbye laughing at him, it was even more enjoyable. Drinks and refills were prompt, the chef put on a great show and the bill was divided correctly into couples. What really impressed me, was that in conversation I mentioned I didnt care for the hot mustard. When the chef dished out the sauces, I got extra ginger instead. Didnt even have to ask. The dinner was delicious and kept coming. Definitely a large enough portion to take home and at a very good price. I cant say enough good things about Oki's! |

I recently visited Oki's for my birthday and it was great. My boyfriend has always been anti-vegetable, especially the "icky" kind like mushrooms. But even he ate everything they put in front of him here. The whole experiance was great although a fish delivery kept letting in cold air. On the upside, I knew that the sushi was super fresh! And honestly, that's more important. |

Just writing a response to Kristen who found bugs in her food from Oki's. I eat a lot of Japanese food and I'm sure what she saw was roasted Sesame Seeds. Unless they were moving, they were not bugs!!! Oki's is the best you can get in this area (without going to Japan). If you like Mackeral, try the Saba Miso. Oki's Hibachi is OK for the average American but if you want real variety and authenticity, try the side dishes as they offer the most opportunity to broaden your culinary horizons. Don't just eat the fried or vegetable dishes. Go with the fish!! Don't be afraid to try new things!! Oki would never allow bugs in their food and there has never been any cleanliness issues or compliance issues as far as I have know and I should know (freelance food critic)... Go out and have fun!! |

Oki's food is very good. Fried rice is a bit on the dry side. Steak & Chicken is great. I just love the sauces. The cooks don't preform like they use to either. It's been awhile since I've been to Oki's. Personally I prefer Shogun in Warwick much better. It's much nicer inside and cleaner. The prices are cheaper and the food is just as good if not better. There fried rice is great and I believe Sun-Wed you get FREE fried rice with your meal. Try it.. You'll love it. |

I came here with my family for my birthday and was quite amused with the show put on by the chefs. They give you such a huge portion you have to take some home, however when I ate the food the next day I noticed small black bugs in the leftovers. I called the Manager to let him know and he totally snubbed me off...Also the place isn't too big or nice inside, for the money you pay, you would think they would make it nicer. |
