I am troubled by a tough dichotomy at Lytle Land & Cattle Co. On the one hand, I ccouldn't chew (or hardly cut!)the butterflied filet. The ribeye, while fantastic tasting, wasn't much tenderer. The waitress seemed genuinely perplexed that the meat was that tough, and said she had never gotten that complaint in 2 years of waitservice at this establishment. We did demonstrate the toughness of the meat to her by trying to cut it, but she still seemed incredulous. My mom told the waitress that she would have to leave and go get a Whataburger to curb her hunger. We were brought a hamburger steak, and ended up paying over $80 for bad chow. maybe it was just an "off" day for them, but at those prices, I can't afford to give Lytle land & Cattle a second chance. |

Absolutely the most perfectly aged, tender, high quality mesquite cooked steak anywhere....accompanied by a very friendly staff and gracious owner to greet patrons!....truely a deliteful dinning experience at very reasonable prices.....the lighting is perfect and the sweet smell of mesquite lingers in the air...you know you're in Texas!.... |
