Charbroiled Quail. Great family owed and operated place to eat. Food has always been great. Fried Pork Chops are good and the Fried Oysters are great! We'll be back |

Worst chicken fried steak in Bastrop.
The breading doesn't adhear to the meat and the gravy is not even gravy. I'd rather have dogfood gravy. The pea salad is the only thing they have that is worth a damn. and I can make that at home. A supossed whole breast, is half a breast cut in to two pieces and dry as a bone. |

The food is great!!!!! The service is wonderful! You can tell the food is made from scratch and not some frozen patty they thawed out in the industrial microwave. And a salad bar to boot!! Well a small salad bar...but salad bar's are becoming a thing of the past in regular family restaurants. What ever happened to heatlh concious eating? Anyway down home cooking nice freindly people will keep you coming back to this little family owned and opereated a little out of the way place. |
