Dined at Grate Steak for years in fact our daughter used to be a hostess there. Over the last several years the quality of food, and especially service has declined drasticly.
My daughter won't even eat there anymore due to the changes. With the new Lone Star, Outback and Texas Roadhouse opening in the area they better re-think things or they are on their way out. |

We have visited the Grate Steak many over the last ten years. Our last visit the middle of April 04 was a huge disappointment. My wife was going to have a small filet but after seeing"MARKET PRICE" on the menu changed her mind.We dine out often and no other restaurant in the area has this practice. Then when inspecting our silverware we noticed food stuck to both hers and mine. The overall cleanliness of the restaurant has declined. This was probably our last visit to this establishment. |

Excellent quality steak a 10 out of 10. Service was excellent. Salad bar was above average but nothing special and my bake potato was not the best. For the price I would have expected cloth napkins and a little better atmosphere. All in all a good restaurant and I would probably return. |

We went for mine and another friend's b-days on a Saturday night. This was the 2nd time we've been in 2 months and again everything (food, service, atmosphere) was as excellent as the last time we went. My husband ordered the large filet and I have never tasted a more tender steak. Three others also ordered the same and agreed. I orderd the marinated steak, as did a couple of others and we all agreed that it was the best marinated steak we'd ever had. The baked potatoes are excellent, especially since you get to use the potato bar. We had both a waiter and waitress since we had a large group and both were perfect. After dinner the waiter sang Happy Birthday (w/the rest of our group) and brought out 2 beautifully decorated portions of cheesecake (and both were just as good as they looked). I couldn't have asked for a better b-day dinner!!! Thank you Grate Steak! |
