I love the Blue Stone. My grandparents live in Harrisonburg and I grew up going there on special occasions. The food is great. It may not be french cuisine, but if you're not a snob you'll recognize good tasting home-like food. The fried softshells are amazing and are only served certain times during the year. The crab cakes are excellent as well. The service is excellent and curteous and if you're a regular they're likely to know your name. |

One of my favorite restaurants in the country. Unique, honest, unpretentious atmosphere. Fantastic to good food - everyone should have the stuffed trout at once in your lifetime. |

I have been to the Blue Stone Inn on several occasions. Each time, the atmosphere was interesting but the food was not. There are mediocre flavors, uninteresting treatments, and often my food was served just warm. In general the meal is over priced for what one gets. It is more of a local pub than real restaurant. |

We spent a lovely evening at this inn and did not feel rushed at all. The staff is excellent and the food was so very good and there was plenty of it and served in the most attractive way. I would encourage anyone in this area to give it a try! |

Fortunately this jewel is in my regular travel area and I NEVER MISS IT.
The stuffed trout is great, but don't overlook the duck, as it is crispy and well presented. |
