My co-worker and I had lunch recently at the Painted Lady. My pasta was served in the size of a cereal bowl with a blueberry muffin. THe muffin was delicious, however I was not impressed with the service. Our waitress was not the friendliest person. I had to flag down our waitress for a refill. SHe was very inattentive. I expected alot more from the hype that I've heard over the years.Luckily, we both had gift certificates. |

My daughter took her favorite mother and mother-in-law to the Painted Lady as our Mother's Day treat, and it was wonderful. She crab soup was to die for and the ambience - wow! Good service too. They serve tea in beautiful china pots with delicate china cups. |

Don't waste your time and money with this place; it's all hype. Neither the quality of the food nor the atmosphere or setting was enough to justify the outrageous prices for the food served. The dishes were mismatched and chipped, the rooms were not very clean, the wait staff was neither friendly nor prompt. The food, while made on premises, tasted no different than that from a package. I, however, cannot get over the fact that they charged $12.95 for tea, two scones, three MINI sandwiches (if, indeed, they could be called such), ONE chocolate covered strawberry, a cookie, and a lemon bar. Once again, the quality did not merit this price.
Next time I want to have the "Painted Lady" experience, i'll open up a pack of little debbie snack cakes, sit in my garage, and pour some tea into my favorite Goodwill mug. MM |
