On viewing Aberdeen Barn from the exterior, one hardly gets the impression of the amazing service and atmosphere that the interior has to offer. A large, adaptable menu has something for every palate. I started my meal with the oysters on the half shell. They were simply delectable. The waiter also brought a bread basket, which consisted of soft bread sticks, crackers, and some of the most delicious rolls I have ever tasted! I feasted on their porterhouse steak, which weighed in at almost a pound-and-a-half! The meat was a perfect medium-rare, and the side dishes were just as tasty. An excellent wine list, full bar, and collection of locally-brewed beers will compliment any selection off of Aberdeen's fantastic menu. The dining areas are dimly lit, with gorgeous contemporary furnishings. The wait-staff is very knowledgable, and their recommendations are worth paying close attention to. If you come to Williamsburg, you absolutely HAVE to try Aberdeen Barn! |

I went to Aberdeen Barn for my birthday dinner. What a huge mistake!! The food was mediocre, the steak was full of fat, and the atmosphere was far from classy! We paid over $50 for a meal that was yucky and made our stomachs hurt for hours afterwards. |

Hands down the best steak I've ever had was the Top Sirloin (cooked medium rare). I started with the baby back ribs, which were also incredible. I thought of returning the next night to have the ribs as an entree (but decided to try a colonial tavern instead - I'm not sure that was the right choice).
The wine selection was wonderful, a perfect way for me to celebrate my 21st birthday. The atmosphere was friendly, not at all imposing.
It was a wonderful place to take the family to. They had food for the kids, but were also willing to adapt dishes from the adult menu.
The service was top notch, not overly aggressive, but on top of every detail. (Harris was our server for the evening, you may want to request him when making reservations).
I highly recommend this restaur |
