I have tried their filet mignon as well as their coconut shrimp. The filet was to die for, properly prepared to my specifications, each bite melted in my mouth. The meat was excellent, very little fat (although on occasion you can find one with a nasty piece of gristle splitting it almost in half - which they will replace on request!) and a delicious flavor.
Their coconut shrimp isn't a beautiful sight on your plate, be warned! It looks like some evil hairy beast of a shrimp with all the coconut they roll it in. What it lacks in presentation however, it makes up for in taste - Their coconut shrimp is an experience in and of itself. On occasion, you may find they overcook them, and the batter may be a bit hard. The shrimp however are excellent quality and good size.
Over all portions are plenty for your average person or even mildly heavy eater. Big eaters should consider an appetizer before their meal.
The staff are very polite and do their very best to comply with any guest's wishes.
The atmosphere of the restaurant is quite nice, with high back booths that give a feeling of privacy even in a crowd. The only drawback (which is a bonus for some) is that they do allow smoking in the restaurant, but they have a smoking/lounge section so non-smokers, breathe easy. In the non-smoking section, you won't even smell it.
Overall, it's a great place to eat, but the prices are not McDonald's level, so bring about $30 or so per person on average. $40 per person for desserts. |
