The Esquire Club has a fantastic fish fry served every Friday. Their specialty is the ocean perch although other selections are available. Although the menu on Fridays is geared to the fish lover, they offer other entrees such as steak for the land lovers in your group.
The all you can eat fish fry comes with French fries fried to perfection. They aren't shy about bringing out more, so take advantage of it.
Until Madison restaurants go smoke free in July, the big downside of The Esquire is that you must walk through the bar area to get seated. They do provide non-smoking areas, but the smoky bar brings down the entire place.
Decor leaves a bit to be desired with peeling wallpaper, but the food and service well makes up for this. |
